Village Pub – Vision/Cuisine/History
The Village Pub opened in 1996 to be a fun, exciting establishment with an international spin, offering great food, riveting entertainment and dancing till 2am, 7 nights a week. It filled a niche that was missing at the time in Palm Springs for a place where one could eat, drink and dance till 2am 7 days a week. Today, the Village Pub continues to be the leading edge, thanks to its progressive management and its ability to adapt and evolve.
Owners Tareef Talala and sister Roula were inspired to open a tavern, like many the’ve partied at while living in countless countries spanning several continents. Their choice could not have been better.
“We thrive on and embrace diversity, be it on an individual level or that of different cultures,” said Tareef, who resided in Canada about 20 years before moving to the U.S. “This is not just a business, rather it’s a family, united by the ethos that differences only make us richer.
Tareef, has a Master’s degree from Queen’s University, Ontario; Roula has a Bachelors degree in Environmental Studies, from York University, Toronto, Canada. Together the bring a well-educated and world perspective to the Village Pub.
Late in 2017 they added a new business partner in David Mariner. After running the hottest nightclubs in the desert he was brought on to bring his passion and love of nightlife to the Pub. He returned to where he started in 2012 and is also excited to add his expertise to the team. Together this trio is prepared to bring the next 25 years to new levels that the first 25 years could only build the foundation for.
Celebrating world cultures and diversity. We thrive on it and welcome everyone from all walks of life with open arms. Our goal is to have a melting pot every day.
